Pendant Light

When my third child is born my intention is to have my two older children share a room.  With that in mind I am going to be doing a few projects to make the room a little more neutral.  My next few projects will be about their room and then I will show you the whole room (I know, try to contain your excitement).

First up, the light.  It originally was a fan, but we needed to use that fan in another part of the house (more on that later).
I went to Home Depot and found a lamp outlet, and a ceiling plate.  J already had wire.
Then I used a lamp shade that I already owned and J wired a hanging pendant light.
I decided to put on a diffuser so you don't look up and see a light bulb.  I took my lamp shade and removed the bottom border.
Then I took a window panel I had leftover and draped it over the shade and cut around just enough to be able to fold the edge over and glue.

I then glued it down and glued the border back on.  As you can see it didn't quite reach all the way back around but I just made sure that part of the shade was pointed toward the wall when I hung it.

And there you have it.  Hang it up.

I apologize if this was confusing.  I am new to the whole blog thing but I am willing to answer any question.
