This post is about a few projects that I have done in the last month or so. They are easy and cheap. First up is this file cabinet I found at Good Will.
You may be wondering why I got it. For one I liked that it was square and I liked the little label holders and I also liked the fact that it was $10. I was also wanting something to put miscellaneous nursery stuff in since even though babies are little, they come with lots of stuff. So I used primer and spray painted it gray (surprise, surprise).
After a few coats of spray paint I then used stencil to add numbers to each drawer and filled in the label holders with craft paper.
I could not be happier to say that it is filled with diapers at the moment, thanks to some awesome women from my church.
The next project is really easy. I have had this frame hanging in my kitchen with nothing in it for a couple of months. It originally was a gift with a poem in it and a faux-wood finish frame. I had painted it blue a while back.
I chose some paper I had on hand and drew a map of Arizona and cut out a heart.
I then affixed it to the glass in the frame. Easy-peasy.
And lastly (it is not really a project) I switched some stuff on my mantel for spring.
I re-hung my map garland. I love garland. I found the little birds in the dollar section at Target.
I put some faux cherry blossom branches that I already owned in the jar. Kinda spring-y right?
Happy weekend!
