First up, I found a cute little lamp at Home Depot for $15, shade and all. It is hard to tell in the picture but it is green glass and a turquoise shade.
It was cute by itself but you know me, I have to change it a little. So I taped of the shade and spray painted it white.
It sits on my counter next to my yellow milk cow from Target. Speaking of that cow, it is $3.75 at Target. Go get one. It is awesome! I think it is for creamer but I doubt mine will ever be used to that purpose.
Next, we had this little step stool that I got a garage sale about 4 years ago. When I bought it it was a baby blue color. I spray painted it white and stenciled pink numbers on it. L added some stickers and dirty footprints. It was looking pretty sad.
Not to break from the formula (and since I had paint leftover) I painted it yellow.
It is in front of the sink in the kids' bathroom. And since we are in here I will just give you a little tour.
I painted stripes on the wall with some paint I had from our old kitchen,
The "Family of 5" was a free printable online. The red frame is from Pottery Barn a couple years ago, in an after Christmas sale. The metal tray is from Goodwill. The red fish was originally black and from Ross.
That 'sign' was made by my sister-in-law and we just had a poster of it printed at Costco.
I still have a few things I want to do in this room. Get a white shower curtain, frame the mirror, add hardware.... But for now, I am happy with my yellow stool (wait that doesn't sound good. Ha!).
