For those of you who care about how I decorated my house this Christmas, here you go. I already showed you the dining room and entryway.
A few red accents and some banners. I didn't go crazy this year. I didn't even buy anything new. Wait...I had to buy one more stocking since there are now 5 of us instead of 4. But that is it!....(so far).
Here is the living room.
I put the Christmas 'tree' we cut as a family in the window. It is really just a cedar bush. I posted a picture of it on Facebook as kind of a joke since it is only about 3 feet high. No one commented on the scrawny tree. I have such polite friends.;) I didn't put any decorations on it. It at least gives of the Christmas tree smell.
The family room:
In years past we have decorated our tree with glass balls J and I got shortly after we were married. This year it is big colorful lights and non-breakable ornaments because let's face it: the kids run the show around here.
I even switched out a few pillows on my bed(actually I didn't switch them they are the pillows that are inside my yellow pillow shams) and put winter-filler in the glass jars in my bedroom:
I feel silly complaining about 70 degree weather but it is kind of crazy to have my Christmas tree up and the windows open and fans blowing. Truth be told I am warm right now. Not very Christmas-y. But, regardless of the weather, Christmas is still a time to celebrate our Savior's birth. Merry Christmas!
