Progress at the Ranch

I thought I would give you all an update on the house.  Keep in mind it always looks worse before it looks better. 
The opening for the new garage door is done.

 I found all the cabinets for the kitchen and the bathroom on Craigslist for $500.  Since they are going to be painted, the finish didn't really matter.

 The kitchen is torn out and we are building out the wall so we can run new electrical and plumbing where we need it.

 Bathroom vanity is gone.

 The French doors in the living room have been framed in and are ready for drywall.

 The holes for the windows in two of the rooms have been started.

Like I said, it always looks like a disaster before it gets better.  When I am going through a remodel I think it is never going to get done.  Something is going to happen and it will be like that forever.  But, so far that has not been the case and let's hope this house is no different.
On a happier note, I found a cute table on Craigslist and put it outside with the orange stools I painted a while back.

Now we have a place to eat our take-out food outside in case out kitchen never gets done.
