I bought a new rug for the nursery so of course I had to rearrange the whole room. What? You don't do that? The rug was a good deal I think. I paid $55 for a 3' x 5' 100% wool rug with free shipping. RugsUSA.com was the site and they are usually having sales so if you are looking for a rug I would check it out.
Here is what the nursery was like before(and the post I did about it):
I liked it that way but I always felt like the crib was sticking out a little far when you first walked into the room. And the crib also shared a wall with the big kids' room and was near the door so the baby could hear things easier. Does that make sense? Makes sense in my mind anyway.
So I switched it:
Now the crib is by the window and the rocking chair is against the black wall.
The book ledges are the same. Still love them. I hung up a picture my husband had of working men eating their lunch while sitting on a beam way up on some sky scraper. I'm sure you have see it before. I liked how it looked against the black of the wall.
The little yellow table I took from our living room. I bought it on clearance at World Market about a year ago. The basket and pouf are from Target.
The yellow dresser now sits where the crib used to be. I feel it fits much better in that space.
With the switch I feel like this room 'flows' a little better.
Do you still like chevron as much as I do?
