We got the kids room done this weekend. I really like how it all came together. I have these pictures in my head about how things will go together and sometimes the reality is not so great but this time I think it works.
First up, we followed this tutorial to make desk lamps into sconces. Funny enough, I was able to find the same lights they used at Target for 50% off.
So here are some pictures. The way the room is shaped makes it hard to get a shot of both beds in one shot but you get the point.
The dresser is in the closet along with their hanging clothes (obviously).
I made little banners with twine and burlap. L's banner also has felt coasters I found at Walmart strung on it. Socks monkeys are also very important in a kids room.
(Yes, I do realize that there is crayon on the wall).
I found the little 'W' hook at Michaels and plan to hang their pajamas on it. The shelf in between their bed has puzzles and books and blocks. All of which end up in W's bed before he goes to sleep. The little lamp was a gift from my dad. It is one of those touch ones that has 3 settings. We keep it on the low setting at night for a night light.
So there you go. Another room done. For now.
